Here's a little talk on the importance of a basic knowledge of the scales. I also give an example of how the F Major Scale is constructed and played.

  2. Hey Larry, thanks for the videos. You played on the first jazz tape, not CD that a friend gave me. Peter White ft Grover Washington Jr. I can very much relate to what you said about scales, I've been playing off and on for almost 12 yrs and never learned my scales, I can jam, but I'm very limited in everything else just as I was sharing with a young guitarist today. I've went back to the basic to learn the correct theory that I need in order to speak. There's alot inside of me that I have to say music wise, but I can't speak it correctly bc my vocab being theory is limited. God bless Larry.
